middlesbrough expect Qpr to make an offer for Albert Adimah early tomorrow morning, they needed to offload several high earners first before being able to look at completing a deal, Phillips to West Bromwich going through (if all parties agree) will mean a deal for adomah can be done.
Qpr need to move Leroy Fer on also.
Karanka had looked at several wingers but decided to go after Antonio only to see the fee increase beyond his valuation, I'm sure he'll have alternative targets but possibly not targets that could replace what Albert brings to the table.
Listening to a few people in the know Boro are in for a busy day.

John Akinde is reportedly attracting interest from a host of Championship clubs including Nottingham Forest, QPR and Fulham after impressing clubs scouts during Barnet's 5-3 defeat to Crystal Palace in pre-season. The former Bristol City prospect scored 33 times last season and is on the radar of a number of Championship clubs as they look to bolster their frontline for the forthcoming campaign.

Back on the 24th June I let you know that Downing was on the horizon and Adomah was off to QPR, Boro do want to keep Adomah but he loves his home club and once Downing in, Boro will reluctantly let Adomah go. I see todays Gazette has mentioned Murphy, from what I have been told though Rhodes is still the preferred choice. I sincerely hope to have something else soon but it is frustratingly very hush, hush.
